The vision of the Busan Port Authority is to reposition Busan City by creating a new maritime landmark with an economical design solution that is user-friendly and sustainable. The Busan North Port Redevelopment Harbor Complex at Piers 3 & 4 is part of a 154,022 sm urban planning initiative to strategically reposition Busan Harbor. The proposed $200 million waterfront development focuses on a new 89,650sm international passenger terminal and cargo handling facility. The program includes new passenger arrival and departure, baggage claim, security check, convention hall, event hall, multi-purpose meeting rooms, offices and cargo handling. Busan IPT is the 2nd largest passenger terminal in the world for those arriving from sea. The project represents a unique opportunity where the combination of people, culture, and place create a civic and cultural focal point where ocean meets land.
