DRDS Design Principal, Paul Davis was the Lead Designer at NBBJ of the Seoul Velodrome Arena in Korea. This 40,000-seat scheme exemplifies humanity's relationship with nature. The more we progress technologically, the more we reflect back on nature. The new Velodrome for Seoul is at home in its setting, commanding attention by seamlessly weaving into its surroundings. The design is aerodynamic and sleek like the bicycle racers themselves. It is meant to be provocative like the sport which implies motion and kinetic energy that is inspired by the speed of the game.
