Paul Brown

Stadium

The project is a 67,000 seat spectator facility designed for the Cincinnati Bengals NFL team. The stadium pays respect to the late Paul Brown who founded the Cincinnati Bengals in 1968. He was a general manager, head coach, NFL Hall of Fame inductee, pioneer and great innovator of pro football. His bold and forward thinking is reflected in the design of this state-of -the-art facility that bears his name. The project sits along the Ohio River at the gateway of the city. The building provides the highest standard in team amenities, advances current thinking about major-league stadium design, and stands as a premier structure in Cincinnati's rapidly changing skyline. Inspired by a strategy to reduce end-zone seating, the stadium opens dramatically on both ends and allows spectators to interact with the city, taking in the game and the sights along the riverfront setting. The project received an LA AIA Design Award for excellence in architecture, an American Architecture Award and is ranked 101 by the The Wall Street Journal in an AIA poll of the best 150 buildings in America.
